QuesTek Announces Pacesetter Award from ASM International Materials Education Foundation
Evanston, IL - September 14, 2022 - QuesTek International, the parent of QuesTek Innovations LLC, today announced that the Company has received the Pacesetter Award for 2022 from the ASM International Materials Education Foundation. The award was presented earlier at ASM International’s IMAT 2022 Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Pacesetter Award recognizes organizations for their support with volunteers and financial resources toward materials, STEM, and engineering education through the ASM Materials Education Foundation. QuesTek International Chairman and CEO, Dr. Aziz Asphahani (pictured) received the award on behalf of the Company. Dr. Asphahani is a past president of ASM, and many of QuesTek’s Board members and executives have served in both technical and governance leadership roles in ASM and the ASM Foundation. According to QuesTek Innovations COO Bill Mahoney, “QuesTek has a long and distinguished history of supporting materials science and technical education initiatives, particularly with the ASM Foundation. The relationship between QuesTek and ASM International, the world’s foremost technical society for materials scientists and engineers, is strong and lasting. We are especially grateful to have volunteered at ASM-supported summer student camps in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and to assist North Central College in Naperville, Illinois to provide students with new experiences in materials science. The camps included field trips to local businesses in the industry and hands-on activities for students to learn more about the behavior of materials.”
