Proprietary Software Platform
We developed and use a proprietary software platform and system to integrate the fundamental parameters of materials and material databases with higher-level mechanistic modeling components such as our PrecipiCalc® multi-component, multi-particle precipitation code, as well as strength, solidification, intergranular cohesion and toughness modeling tools. Fundamental parameters and databases (including thermodynamics, mobility, molar volume, and magnetic) are incorporated to provide the basic physical parameters governing materials behavior.
Integrates Other Leading Software Design Tools
Our proprietary software pratform provides an interface to efficiently integrate our own models and software with other software such as Engineous Software iSIGHT PRO (a design integration software that automates the manual design process) and Scientific Forming Technology Corporation (SFTC) DEFORM-3D HT finite element method (FEM) software (used for calculating the thermal and mechanical responses of a component undergoing a specified heat treatment). This integration enables more rapid and efficient materials/process development at the component level in order to yield greater commercial impact.

By integrating key foundational tools, parameters, and models in our proprietary software platform, and by combining it with our Materials by Design® approach and stage gate design and development process, we rapidly assess and optimize materials, perform design sensitivity studies, and visualize results. Our software platform provides a valuable interface between advanced scientific models and parameters, providing us with the ability to rapidly engineer materials and material processes.
