QuesTek Innovations LLC is an innovative materials solutions company that designs and develops new materials in less than 50% of the time and at less than 30% of the cost of traditional empirical methods. The Company achieves dramatically reduced design and development times and cost through its proprietary Materials by Design® technology. Materials by Design uniquely integrates powerful computer design tools with proprietary material production and component manufacturing technologies. The Materials by Design technology yields production techniques and component manufacturing technologies that are well understood and predictable, which provides our customers the ability to introduce new or improved proprietary materials into their product designs. 

QuesTek’s current focus is in high-performance steels and other alloys. However, Materials by Design can be used to develop a wide variety of materials beyond steel and has been demonstrated and/or applied to metals, ceramics, polymers, cement, and processed foods. QuesTek believes that in the future, many if not all materials will be designed using this type of technology.

From inception in 1997 until 1999, QuesTek focused on using this technology to design new and improved materials for companies and the federal government. During this period, all profits of the Company were reinvested to further develop the Materials by Design technology.

Today, a major part of QuesTek’s strategy is to rapidly develop and market its own proprietary materials for high value-added applications. The Company has already developed materials for aerospace, automobile racing, cutlery and sporting goods applications.

QuesTek provides value to our customers by improving the performance and reliability of critical components that incorporate QuesTek’s proprietary materials. The approach is to determine which key components or products can be significantly improved by using QuesTek materials and then assist our customer with the design and/or production of the component or product incorporating our material. After demonstrating the improvements, QuesTek licenses the technology to the customer and arranges for material supply and manufacturing assistance as necessary.

The management team of QuesTek Innovations has, in aggregate, over 90 years of materials science, product commercialization, and management expertise.
